I'm sure some of you are wondering why this is an Intel server instead of a nice AMD server. The answer is rather simple I needed something quick and cheap as the old motherboard died. I tried to find a nice cheap AMD setup, but given my budget and time frame this was the best I could build. Oh, and this isn't a cheap setup this is a nice setup that should last me as I don't like suprises like the other systems dead motherboard...
If it hadn't been for the 2nd storage array I wouldn't have likely needed to do this upgrade as quickly, but in the long run it worked out nicely. The server is quieter and runs my test VMs fine in addition to running Carbonite Backup for all my junk. If you don't already have a strong backup solution then I recommend you get Carbonite. It's simple, safe, and secure what more could you want?
